I love music. It’s been a constant companion through my life. I’m a musical explorer and can point to a couple of notable excursions. My most influential guide was Stevie Wonder. I started with “Songs in the key of life” and worked backwards. I read and re-read the sleeve notes of that record and its predecessors and thankfully discovered the music of many of Stevie’s family, friends and collaborators.

After that I decided to become a DJ to discover and share more music. In short, I love a good song: a great melody made better with thoughtful lyrics. Something that moves you: up, down, or in synchrony with another’s heartbeat. And that’s where dance music comes in. I love DJing, but I’d rather be dancing, with all my friends, and you.

Nowadays you’ll mostly hear me mixing up pure house, leaning towards a soulful jazzier vibe. But beware; every now and again I’ll dive headfirst into a big fluffy honey-dipped cloud of funky filtered house and discotheque.

FMONDAY was one the six original DJ’s at the radio station. Although he is a busy man, he always makes time for his show and do it with passion. He is also one of our very few DJ’s that present his show, instead of mixing a 2 hour set. He likes to talk about the music. When we asked him where the name FMONDAY came from? This was his answer: We used to run a club in North London on a Sunday night and we'd occasionally hear the excuse "I can't come I've got work/school/etc tomorrow" and so F*** Monday was born.
They were usually the ones who turned up to our gig, then went on to LA2, and followed that with a session at The Orange. They then asked me to phone in sick for them on Monday morning! (cough, cough, sneeze, sneeze)

My favourite DJs are Raul Rincon and Seamus Haji

I loved the old Crash (Boy George, Superchumbo).

Go out loads with other pals who are into music. Listen and compare. Then go home and do your own thing. Play what YOU like. Someone, somewhere will love it too.
