I started putting my mixes together as Christmas gifts for the friends I would bump in to when I was out clubbing in Vauxhall. We all come from different backgrounds, but the one thing that holds us together is our love of dancing to a great tune, singing out loud, throwing crazy shapes on the dancefloor, and enjoying ourselves. I wanted to give them something to listen to during the week in those long five days before the weekend - and so a DJ was born!

The music I play is always something with a dirty beat, an electro-twinge, a thumping bass, or a killer vocal (or all of the above - my favourite kind of track!). I'm always hunting around for remixes I hear when I'm out clubbing, or stumbling across a killer track that I haven't heard but would love to share with everyone.

So who is your Favourite DJ/Artist/Producer?
My flatmate, the wonderful Simon Le Vans, who has been DJing in bars, pubs and clubs for over twenty years, followed by Wayne G and Christian M.

Which Club is you Favourite Club?
The Royal Vauxhall Tavern on a Sunday – great music, great entertainment, and the friendliest crowd of clubbers I’ve ever met.

Where do you Live?
London

Where is your Favourite Holiday destination?
That’s a toss-up between Berlin (for city breaks) and Mykonos (for sunshine).

What is your star sign?
I’m a Cancerian (and a typical one at that!)

What is your Favourite Food?
Fillet steak from cows reared on my parents’ farm, with fresh veg from the garden and peppercorn sauce over the top.

What’s your Favourite Drink?
Ron Miel (which translates as ‘honey rum’, a Canary Island specialty)

What is your Favourite Colour?
Black. Everything looks good in black.

What do you do when you are not mixing?
Hanging out with my partner or my flatmate, watching TV, going out clubbing, or my all time favourite – sleeping!

What is your Top Tip for new DJ’s?
Play the music you’re passionate about – a DJ who doesn’t really know or like what they’re playing will only ever be ok. A great DJ needs to love their music – and their audience.
