Dan has been a purveyor of quality soulful House music since the mid 90s. Playing residencies for some of the UK's largest club chains, including the Plasma Lounge at Gatecrasher, Luminar Leisure venues, Revolution Bars, Bar Med, Po Na Na and various underground clubs such as The Pleasure Rooms in Leeds, DeJaVu in Hull, Back To Basics, The Bomb in Nottingham, and The Quarry in Lincolnshire. During my club career, I've been fortunate enough to play alongside some of the biggest names in House and UK Garage, including Roger Sanchez, DJ Disciple, Graeme Park, tour dates with The Dreem Teem from Radio One, and supporting DJ EZ on the Pure Garage 4 national tour. I’ve been behind many successful club nights around the UK including my own brand “Mirrorball” (also one of the most active House music websites in the early part of the last decade), and BodyMoves around the UK. Pioneer DJs such as Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles have to get a name check. DJs I’ve admired over the years, and always play rocking sets include Joey Negro, Graeme Park and Derrick Carter. Production wise at the moment, I’m massively into DeepCitySoul, the Groove Junkies and Jamie Lewis. Which Club is you Favourite Club? A This changes regularly, but you’re always guaranteed a great night at Fabric in London Where do you Live? West London Where is your Favourite Holiday destination? A Just come back from a few months in Hollywood which was amazing, highly recommend the Australian beaches if you want a nice lazy trip too! What is your star sign? Sagittarius What is your Favourite Food? A Being a life-long vegetarian, I’m into the whole healthy eating. Some nice stuffed vine leaves, peppers with cous-cous, maybe with some chickpeas and a nice soup, delicious! What’s your Favourite Drink? A I drink a lot of white and green teas, if we’re talking real drink, I’ll take a Jack Daniels on the rocks! What is your Favourite Colour? A Blue (boring eh?) What do you do when you are not mixing? A I also work in on-line media, writing technology and social media articles for various websites, producing and presenting podcasts, I’m also a radio broadcaster. What is your Top Tip for new DJ’s?
