The FIRST LADY of the PURE PALACE is BERTHA. She is our radio server. At PURE PALACE we don’t see a radio server as a piece of equipment, so we gave her a name and called her Bertha. Bertha is 136 years old, but don’t let her age fool you. She can go on and on for days. In fact, she never stops. She is being kept alive by machines and chemicals. Bertha works day and night and all she does is broadcast all day long. We all love Bertha to bits, even though she can be a hand full at times. Bertha also has some sort of connection with each of the Pure People, so read on to discover where she fits into everyone’s life. YAY for Bertha!!

Michael is Bertha’s boss; however, some days you might think it’s the other way around! Bertha doesn’t take kindly to orders. Michael is one of the owners of PURE and is also the Station manager. Michael has years of experience in the radio industry, and it’s his job to feed Bertha full of information so that she can broadcast all of the shows. Since Bertha is not that young anymore it is also Michael’s job to see that she is in a tip top condition, changing her feeding tubes over and so on.

Dee is the second owner of PURE. His role is to employ the Pure Dj’s, decide on their slot times, show names etc. He is also the Creative Coordinator of Pure. Although Dee is involved with Pure Radio on a Daily basis; he is also the events manager for the Pure Parties. Dee has his own radio show called DJD PRIMETIME. You can say he is the Daddy of the DJ’s! Dee’s other job is also to look after Bertha’s pet duck called Quackie. Unfortunately, he lost the duck 6 months ago, but we haven’t told Bertha yet... well, he didn’t lose it, he sort of needed it for a dinner party and the feathers for came in handy for Bertha’s new feather boa! (Just don’t tell her where it came from)/div>

Johnny is the assistant Events manager and part of the Promotional team at Pure. He have years of experience in the clubbing, promoting and DJing industry and works closely together with Dee. He also has his own show on Pure Radio called Tech Tonic, every Sunday. Johnny was meant to be Bertha’s promoter, but he misunderstood the assignment and now there are pictures of Bertha all over London in telephone boxes. The phone hasn’t stop ringing for weeks. Bertha kicked up a big scene about it, but she’s not fooling anyone. We know that she LOVES all the attention!

Paul is also an Assistant Station Manager and part of the creative team at PURE. Paul has years of experience in the DJ’ing and the Events industry and is a also part owner in a company called 3HOUSE, who hosts events. If that is not enough, Paul still has time to produce his own show called “WE LOVE HOUSE”. Even though Paul is so extremely busy, he also has his hands full with Bertha as well. Bertha likes the younger lads... And well, she took quite a shine to Paul. So if you see Paul running around at the PURE PALACE looking for places hide, you’ll know why. Poor Fella!!

Robbie is also one of the assistant station managers at Pure and looks after a group of DJ's. Apart from all the daily work behind the scenes, Robbie has his own show on Sundays called UBER. Bertha used to like Robbie, and they used to play Wii games and have a pint in the pub once in a while. But Robbie needed a bit more space and Bertha was smothering him so Robbie told everyone that Bertha is a lesbian, and now she is no longer talking to him anymore. (Can you blame her!!)

Kevin is one of the supervisors at Pure Radio. He looks after a small group of DJ's and help with the editing of the shows. He is also Bertha's long lost son, but we don't tend to talk about it at the palace. It's all a bit sensitive. You see, Bertha don't know who Kevin's father is. She was a bit of a hippy slag in her days and was seeing 6 different guys around the time Kevin was born... Hey, it was the 70's, everyone was doing it! We think he was conceived in Ibiza...

Omar is one of the Supervisors at Pure and work on the editing team. He also has his own show on Wednesday evenings called “Halfway House” Omar is Bertha’s little brother... Yes, VERY little brother. There is nearly a hundred years difference between the two. Yes, we know it don’t add up, but remember Bertha is being kept alive by machines and chemicals. She was the only child for nearly 100 years before Omar came along. And well, with a temper like Bertha’s, you can just imagine that she was NOT a happy Granny. Omar was forced to move away to a deserted island. When he visits the PURE PALACE he dresses up in disguise as a woman called Omarella. Bertha still doesn’t know...

Yannick is one of the official male voices of Pure. He has years of experience in the radio industry such as Gaydar Radio. Yannick now lives in Australia and continued his career in radio there. Since Bertha desperately needs physiological help, but can’t afford a philologist... Yannick offered to listen to her problems. Well, only after one hour of listening to Bertha’s CR@P, Yannick was mentally scared for life. He is now locked up in a psychiatric ward...

Now where would a radio station be without a great female voice? The official female voice of Pure is Kylie. Kylie has years of experience with varies radio stations such as Capital FM. She adds that feminine and energetic touch to the station. Kylie is also Bertha’s personal caretaker. She helps her get’s dressed, do her make-up, shopping, booking her Botox appointments, and sneaking her a mojito once a while. Bertha loves Kylie to bits and so do we!

David helps us playing only the best tunes throughout the day. Although our DJ’s would love to mix 24/7, they do need to sleep sometimes. We at PURE need to ensure that we play only the best tunes. David also has his own radio show called WEEKEND WARM-UP. David listens to music all day long (he hears music even when it’s not turned on....) and bounce around Pure Palace. When Bertha does a runner, we send David to catch her. When he starts bouncing, he is a bit like a Kangaroo and moves very fast. He always manages to catch her.

Amber look after the guest list at the Pure Parties and you will find her on the door. We take the guest list at the Pure Parties very serious and not just anyone can get them selves on the guest list. That’s why we put this tough puppy in charge of it. Amber use to be friends with Bertha until Bertha started taking advantage of the Guest List. She tried to get all her mates from the old age home on there. When Amber found out, she walked straight up to Bertha and gave her a proper bitch slap! There was a hand mark on Bertha’s face for two weeks and now she is very scared of Amber. When ever she sees her, she power up the mobility scooter and ride as fast as she can. She even makes use of jet fuel in the scooter to ensure Amber can’t catch her.

Natasha, Jade & Maja are the Pure Pets. They do special appearances at the Pure Parties. Natasha is our Fashion Coordinator and is involved in the Pure Parties. We think it’s very obvious why these three ladies were picked to be the official Pure Pets. They are hot, gorgeous goddesses and certainly know how to carry off the Pure Brand. You can probably guess who wants to scratch their eyes out... Yup, you guessed it, BERTHA!! Due to Bertha’s jealousy, she’s not fond of them, but they are now getting on better since the girls asked her to go shopping with them. We just hope Bertha behaves and don’t go shop lifting AGAIN

And these folkes, are the PURE PEOPLE!  We work very hard and play even harder.  And when we work, we enjoy every minute of it.  The secret behind our great team is that everyone have an absolute passion for what we do.  We love what we are doing and we  love PURE.  Regardless of all the problems Bertha causes us every day, we love her to bits!!  Each and every one of us has our own special task, and with the best of our ability, bring you the best entertainment and music we possibly can to make Pure Radio a GREAT radio station.
