Hi all, just a few notes about me. To get a cliche in early - it's all about the music. You won't find me playing live any more (but can perhaps be persuaded). I have spent many years DJing and mixing using most formats purely for fun and often for profit. I won't go into where and with whom I have DJ'd - but more about what and why...

Overall, I'll mix most styles - but only what I like, and if that pleases others then that's great. I won't be forced by fads I don't like - hence my disappearance during the "jungle" years....

My favourite styles stem from original Detroit & Chicago house and anything featuring a piano and/or Spanish guitar. Overall, it's mainly funky, uplifting vocal house - and I love to mix the old with the new. I'll aim to push boundaries regarding styles and techniques to create something different and evolutionary. I've always vowed never to have a favourite track - but they'll bury me to Joe Smooth's "Promised Land"...

So, I am here to provide something old and new. No pretension, just tracks and mixes that I like, and hopefully, so do you.

With Girlfriend Kate, son Freddie and daughter India. Plus various sporting activities

What is your Top Tip for new DJ’s?
Don't feel you have to conform; stick with what you like and experiment a little. Think about your audience - e.g. radio or live - and adjust what you do accordingly. A track that sounds great live can be completely different if you are just listening at home on the radio! And it's not always about having the newest tracks - people still love to sing along to what they know...
